8 traits that make people succeed

Richard St John's book "8 to be Great"

If you’ve ever asked yourself:  how do great people succeed, then I recommend listening to author and speaker Richard St.John  describing 8 traits all successful people have in common. Because it may motivate, educate and inspire you to continue – or change – your approach to success.

A chance question from a high school student on a plane sent Richard St. John on a life mission to interview movers and shakers considered huge successes.  She asked “What really leads to success?”

He came up with some surprising answers – including this one:

“It’s not always easy to push yourself, and that’s why they invented mothers.”

Or if no mother available – how about a coach, mentor or support buddy?

Like Napoleon Hill who researched successful people and wrote the classic success book Think and Grow Rich, Richard St. John was driven by a similar question – how do great people succeed and what really leads to success?

He spent a decade interviewing more than 500 people and distilling a wealth of wisdom into his book “8 to be Great – the Eight Traits Successful people have in common”-

Were they smart? Lucky? Neither says St. John.

In a nutshell here are the most important traits that can make YOU successful:

  1. Passion
  2. Work
  3. Focus
  4. Push
  5. Ideas
  6. Improve
  7. Serve
  8. Persist

I certainly resonate with these traits regarding how great people succeed. That’s why I incorporate most if not all in my “5 Steps to Goal Success” book and program.

Here in his own words…watch Richard St John expand (in only three minutes) on each of these traits that show how great people succeed. Then leave a comment for me as to where you stand on his suggested advice in your own life!
